In Case You Were Wondering...
- How soon should I book my senior session?
-
I'm so glad you asked! The sooner you get on the schedule the better. Fall and spring are the most popular seasons for seniors in St. Louis, so those dates book up quickly. It's best to get your date nailed down as soon as possible so you don't miss out on your favorite season. Most clients get on my calendar a few months ahead of time. So, if you want a session in October, you'll want to book it in the summer.
- How long is a senior session?
-
Sessions are planned for two and a half hours before sunset for a couple of reasons. First, this gives us plenty of time to walk around our location looking for the best light and interesting backgrounds. It also gives you time to change outfits without feeling rushed or stressed out.
Second, the light during this time of day is great for photos. The sun is lower in the sky, so there are fewer shadows and less squinting. And if we're lucky, we'll get that coveted golden hour sunset.
- How many outfits should I bring?
-
I usually recommend 3 outfits; one that's a little fancy, one that is on trend and one that's more casual and/or includes your college choice or hobby like a college t-shirt or sports jersey.
You can always bring an extra outfit in case you decide you're not feeling one of your options. It's always nice to have choices. Also, you can always add layers and accessories to get a different look without changing your entire outfit. Here is a blog post about what to wear for senior girls and here is one for the guys.
We will plan a Zoom call to talk about your outfits before your session. You don't need to worry about anything. I'm going to take care of you!
- How much does a senior session cost?
-
I have a session fee of $100 for a 1 1/2 hour session and $200 for a 2 1/2 hour session which is due when you book your session. This secures your date on my calendar and covers our time together during the shoot, my time editing your images and your in-person viewing and ordering appointment. The session fee does not include digitals or products.
Clients choose the products they want during our in-person viewing and ordering appointment. I offer 4 collection options which start at $600. Clients also have the option to order products from a Specialty Menu which allows each person to customize their order.
Most clients invest $2000+ on their entire senior experience, but that is not a requirement.
- Can I just get the digitals?
-
Yes, you can purchase just digital files.
- Will you edit all of my photos?
-
Absolutely! I hand edit each image that you choose to purchase. You will look like the best version of yourself, not a porcelain doll.
